Torys is seeking a mid-level associate for its highly regarded Fund Formation and Capital Raising and Mergers and Acquisitions groups in Montréal. The groups advise fund sponsors and institutional investors on structuring, negotiating and investing in private equity, private credit, impact, retail, venture capital and infrastructure funds, co-investment transactions, acquisitions and equity transactions. Candidates should have three to five years of experience in fund formation or M&A, ideally with investment fund exposure. Candidates with strong securities regulatory experience who wish to develop private fund formation experience may also apply. Applicants must be members in good standing of the Quebec Bar or willing to become members.
