Torys is seeking a mid-level private equity and M&A associate for its busy corporate group in New York. The role includes advising private equity and institutional clients and portfolio companies on buyout transactions, co-investments, joint ventures, co-sponsor transactions and add-on acquisitions, with the ability to run transactions with limited supervision. Candidates should have approximately four years of relevant U.S. law transactional experience, strong private equity and M&A deal experience, excellent interpersonal and client service skills, a strong work ethic, good judgment and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Applicants must be members in good standing of the New York Bar or willing to be admitted.
