Support students to re-engage with education in a safe, inclusive and structured environment. Working closely with teachers, you will provide classroom or one-to-one learning support, assist with learning activities, literacy and numeracy interventions, resource preparation, assessments and qualifications administration. You will help maintain a positive and safe classroom environment, support behaviour, pastoral and safeguarding needs, supervise students, monitor progress, contribute to risk assessments and work collaboratively across the school team. The role supports students who may have experienced exclusion, disrupted education or barriers to learning, so patience, flexibility, empathy, resilience and a strong commitment to positive outcomes are essential. Applicants need GCSEs in English, Maths and Science at grade C or 5 or above, experience in a school or educational setting, strong communication, organisational, administrative, numeracy and literacy skills, and competence with Gmail and Google Suite. Knowledge of SEN, behavioural support strategies and safeguarding procedures is desirable. The role involves working onsite and offsite across London Zones 1 to 6, including students' homes, libraries and other educational venues, with occasional meetings, activities or trips. This is a casual bank worker position, subject to an enhanced DBS check, with full-time or part-time hours and a minimum commitment of three days per week. Sessions are structured in three-hour blocks, with some planning, administration, meetings and training outside core hours.
