Experienced Medical Imaging Technologist responsible for performing and assisting with radiographic procedures efficiently and accurately, producing high-quality diagnostic images in accordance with Cabrini's mission and values. The role includes leadership of a specialty modality or modality area, deputising for area managers or modality supervisors, supervising and training students and radiographers, supporting clinical education, maintaining quality control and assurance programs, and assisting with policies and procedures. Operational duties include patient care before, during and after examinations, radiographic examinations and special procedures, image assessment and identification, radiation protection in accordance with ALARA principles, patient preparation, appointment coordination, staff competency training, resource management and participation in the on-call service at Cabrini's Malvern and Brighton campuses. Essential requirements include a degree in Medical Radiations Sciences or an equivalent qualification recognised by ASMIRT, a relevant Certificate of Competence, current AHPRA registration, eligibility for ASMIRT membership and a Statement of Accreditation or equivalent, a current Radiation Use Licence, and extensive experience in one or more specialty modalities. The role requires a minimum of 7 years post-graduate qualification experience, supervisory and organisational skills, continuing professional development, contemporary specialty radiology knowledge, and a commitment to compassionate, safe and high-quality patient care.
