BreastScreen Victoria is seeking an IT Operations Manager to lead the availability, performance and security of all IT systems required by the organisation. Reporting to the CIO and based in the Information Technology Services team in Carlton, the role leads a small team of systems administrators, network engineers and a desktop support officer. Responsibilities include developing and delivering the annual IT maintenance plan, managing critical incidents and post incident reviews, leading problem management, improving IT operations maturity and security controls, managing risk, supporting budgets and infrastructure renewals, and coaching and developing the IT operations team. The role contributes to IT strategy and project delivery, monitors system availability and performance, and supports client and stakeholder service improvements. Essential criteria include tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or an equivalent field, experience in IT operations in a Microsoft Windows virtualised VMware environment operating with VSAN, experience implementing security controls aligned with the Australian Signals Directorate Information Security Manual, NIST Cybersecurity Framework or equivalent, clear written and verbal communication skills, excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, and experience managing, leading and coaching small teams of specialised staff. The position is full time and contract, classified at Level 8.
