A convivial choir for singers and instrumentalists who want to practise singing together. The repertoire includes polyphonic Afro-American music by composers including Duke Ellington, Horace Silver, Carlos Jobim and Stevie Wonder. The focus is on ensemble work, intonation, rhythm, nuances, phrasing, articulation and pronunciation. It runs for 30 classes per year, 1 hour 30 minutes per week, with 15 to 20 students. A minimum of vocal practice is preferred and an audition may be required.
