Small ensemble workshop exploring current Jazz aesthetics, Fusion, Jazz rock and blends with Maghreb, African and Caribbean music. The programme includes stylistic markers, improvisation, odd meters, instrumental timbres and effects, rhythmic work, polyrythms and collective development of each student's musical identity. The course runs for 30 classes per year, 1 hour 30 minutes per week, with 7 to 10 students. Jazz fundamentals, an appropriate repertoire and rhythmic and metric skills are required, with tests and an audition at the start of the year.
