Workshop combining Afro-Cuban rhythms and Jazz elements, including claves, merengue, mambo, cha-cha, phrasing, interpretation, improvisation and a progressive repertoire from the 1930s to the present. The course runs for 30 classes per year, 1 hour 30 minutes per week, with 7 to 10 students. A good instrumental level and prior knowledge of Salsa and Jazz are required for most levels, while an introductory level is available to students with suitable instrumental technique and rhythmic grounding. Tests and an audition are held at the start of the year.
