The role requires a basic understanding of mental and physical health conditions, common treatment pathways and healthy lifestyle practices. Candidates should have demonstrable experience of working successfully to targets, providing case management support to clients with health or employment-related barriers, managing caseloads with different needs and goals, accessing external support services and building networks. Experience supporting people to obtain or retain work or working within health services is desirable. The role requires understanding of the impact of health conditions on work, the challenges faced by people with health difficulties, and the use of IT tools including MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Good motivational, communication, listening, organisational and interpersonal skills are required, alongside the ability to work collaboratively, independently and with initiative. Candidates should be non-judgemental, trustworthy, empathetic, resilient and committed to excellent service delivery, with a genuine belief that people with health conditions can find paid employment. Willingness to travel within the region is required.
