Partnership for Los Angeles Schools seeks a strategic, collaborative, and proactive Vice President of Development to lead philanthropic revenue strategy and an ambitious five-year income plan, with a current annual philanthropic revenue goal of $10 million. The role oversees annual, major, and planned giving; corporate and foundation gifts and grants; stewardship; donor marketing; development systems; and organization-wide fundraising culture. Responsibilities include managing top prospect and donor portfolios, securing multi-year transformational gifts, strengthening prospect pipelines and CRM systems, briefing the CEO and Board, representing the Partnership externally, leading and developing a staff of four development professionals, and fostering diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. Candidates should have at least 10 years of progressively responsible development leadership experience, a record of securing multi-year funding and diversified unrestricted revenue toward a portfolio goal of at least $6 million, experience with six- and seven-figure major gifts and team leadership, strong donor and foundation relationship skills, communication and interpersonal abilities, CRM familiarity with Raiser's Edge preferred, and a commitment to the Partnership's mission and communities. This is a full-time, year-round position based in Los Angeles with hybrid work across remote locations, the Downtown LA office, Partnership schools, and events, with occasional travel. The salary is $213,134 and is set through the Partnership's compensation policy.
