Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a Regional Director, Quality and Patient Safety to provide strategic and operational leadership for quality improvement, patient safety, accreditation, and patient and staff experience initiatives across Vancouver Acute. Reporting to the Executive Director, Experience, Quality & Safety, the role leads a multi-site, multidisciplinary team and oversees the Patient Safety portfolio, including serious event reviews, safety investigations, organizational learning, escalation pathways, executive reporting, and system-wide improvement initiatives. The Regional Director partners with operational, medical, professional practice, executive, frontline, and external leaders in a complex matrix environment, leads accreditation readiness, oversees performance measurement and reporting, supports executive and Board decision-making, and represents Vancouver Coastal Health provincially and nationally. Requirements include a master's degree in a related health profession and 10 years of recent related experience in clinical quality and patient safety in a complex healthcare environment, including progressive clinical practice, education, research, project management, and leadership experience. The role requires visible on-site leadership across Vancouver Acute, with limited flexibility for remote work as appropriate.
