The Provincial Health Services Authority is seeking a Quality Medical Lead to co-chair the BCMHSUS Quality & Safety Committee, co-lead quality and safety planning, guide quality priorities and indicators, and support monitoring of clinical quality. The role provides medical leadership for patient safety, mortality and morbidity reviews, accreditation, patient experience, quality improvement and Indigenous-specific anti-racism initiatives. Responsibilities include engaging medical staff, supporting education and accreditation compliance, reviewing patient safety events and experience data, building quality improvement capacity, and coaching medical staff. Applicants should be systems thinkers with strong communication, organizational, leadership, collaboration, conflict management and change management skills. Qualifications include a Medical Degree, eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia, experience in progressively complex medical leadership roles, understanding of BCMHSUS quality and leadership structures, and maintained professional memberships. Previous PHSA Physician Quality Improvement training is preferred, and a master's degree in health administration, business administration or public health would be an asset.
