The British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives is recruiting a full-time Policy Consultant to conduct policy research and prepare analyses related to nursing and midwifery standards of practice, organizational and board policies, and policy integration across BCCNM. The role plans, develops, implements and evaluates policy initiatives, supports communication of standards and policies, leads policy development projects, prepares reports and presentations, and consults with regulators, government, employers, licensees and other audiences. Applicants need a master's degree with specialized nursing or midwifery education, or a bachelor's degree with specialized nursing or midwifery education combined with additional education and experience, plus 7 to 10 years of progressively complex experience. The position requires health system knowledge, policy development experience, research and analytical skills, leadership and facilitation skills, strong communication and organizational skills, project management expertise, and change management experience. BCCNM offers hybrid work, a collaborative and respectful team environment, a salary of $125,417 to $131,689 annually, employer-paid health and dental benefits, pension contributions, vacation, professional development support, an employee assistance program and a fitness allowance.
