BCCNM is seeking part-time Nurse Practitioner Contract Assessors to support its Quality Assurance Program by conducting virtual and onsite nurse practitioner peer reviews. Assessors review nurse practitioner patient records against BCCNM Standards of Practice and Entry Level Competencies, conduct licensee interviews and documentation reviews, complete assessment reports, and contribute to improving the Quality Assurance Program. The role includes four or more peer reviews per calendar year, along with orientation, training and debrief sessions. Applicants must hold practicing licensure in good standing with BCCNM, have completed a BCCNM NP Peer Review, and have at least five years of clinical practice experience, including experience managing and leading nursing professionals, plus at least three years of educator or preceptor experience. Knowledge of BCCNM standards, entry level competencies, quality assurance legislation and policies, and controlled drug and substance prescribing practices is required. Skills in professional performance assessments, conflict resolution, facilitation and coaching, as well as strong communication and videoconferencing and MS Office experience, are required. Experience in medical aesthetics, oncology, ADHD assessment and prescribing, or Indigenous health is an asset. The position is based in Vancouver, BC, with work conducted virtually and at various locations around British Columbia. Successful candidates receive a contract fee for work assigned at the discretion of BCCNM. Applications are requested by September 18, 2026, although the opportunity remains posted until filled.
