The Digital Twins Research Program focuses on using artificial intelligence to develop personalised digital platforms for monitoring, prediction and treatment decision-making. Reporting to the Research Lead, the role will contribute to AI-enabled personalised hearing device care by developing and applying advanced modelling approaches and multimodal data analysis techniques. Responsibilities include developing computational models, undertaking data analysis, contributing to clinical research activities, assisting with Human Research Ethics Committee applications, communicating research to multidisciplinary audiences, contributing to scientific papers, grant submissions and progress reports, supervising interns and HDR students, maintaining research integrity, and contributing to intellectual property development. Applicants should have a PhD in Biomedical Engineering or equivalent experience, expertise in computational modelling of sensory systems or multimodal data analysis, and an emerging track record in research excellence. Knowledge of hearing systems and hearing loss, Python programming, first-author journal papers and grant writing experience are desirable. The role involves collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, external collaborators and industry partners, and offers flexibility to work from home in accordance with company guidelines.
