Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Non Executive Director to join its Board. The role involves working collaboratively with the Trust Board and Council of Governors, championing the reduction of health inequalities, building effective partnerships, strengthening connections with people who use services, carers, families and communities, enabling a culture of trust, innovation and continuous improvement, and promoting equality, diversity and inclusion. Candidates should have prior executive or non-executive Board experience in a large or complex public or private sector organisation, senior management experience, Board-level understanding of financial information, and experience or understanding of quality improvement and transformation. The successful candidate should demonstrate strategic capability, independent judgement, effective communication and influencing skills, commitment to teamwork and partnership, and the ability to provide constructive challenge. The initial appointment is for three years, with an option for a further three-year appointment. The time commitment is 2 to 3 days per month, with additional time if required. The remuneration is £13,000 per annum in line with NHS England and NHS Improvement guidance. This is a public appointment and is not subject to employment law.
