Accountable for the day to day running of the Chief Finance and Investment Officer portfolio, including financial performance and sustainability, procurement, contracts, counter fraud, strategic transformation programmes, estates and facilities. The role deputises for the Chief Finance and Investment Officer, covering the Executive portfolio when required and dealing with the Trust Board and internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities include maintaining sound financial controls, delivering accurate financial performance information, overseeing the financial transition and integration of Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust and Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust, leading financial planning and annual accounts, supporting audit and governance, delivering savings and efficiencies, and leading and developing a high performing, diverse, values based Finance team. Applicants should possess exceptional leadership qualities, strong relationship management skills, business and commercial acumen, personal credibility, expert accounting and business knowledge, analytical capability, and the ability to present complex financial information clearly. Essential criteria include a CCAB or CIMA qualification, evidence of continuing professional development, a degree level qualification, approximately 10 years of relevant post qualification experience, extensive experience as a Deputy or Associate or Assistant Director of Finance in the NHS, expert knowledge of NHS Trust financial frameworks and accounting regimes, financial planning and benchmarking experience, strong communication and influencing skills, advanced Microsoft Excel skills, and significant staff and team management experience.
