Deputy Chief Operating Officer, Trust Operations

This role leads day-to-day oversight and tactical planning of Trust flow through the Site Operations and Discharge teams. It leads Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response on behalf of the Chief Operating Officer, oversees systems and processes supporting operational performance and non-elective delivery, and leads the Trust-wide urgent and emergency care improvement work programme with internal and external stakeholders. The post holder works closely with divisional leaders on wider operational and process improvements. The role is part of the Deputy Chief Operating Officer position, with a salary of Agenda for Change Band 9, hours of 37.5 per week, and accountability to the Chief Operating Officer. Applicants should have substantial senior operational management experience in a healthcare setting, success delivering change and performance improvement, effective budget management, transformation and service improvement experience, and the ability to analyse complex problems and develop practical solutions. An undergraduate degree, post graduate qualification and evidence of continuing professional development are required.
