Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Associate Non-Executive Director with a background in education who can bring the perspective of schools and teaching to the Board. The role involves working collaboratively with the Trust Board and Council of Governors, championing the reduction of health inequalities, building effective partnerships, supporting continuous improvement and learning, promoting equality, diversity and inclusion, and providing governance, oversight and constructive challenge. Candidates should have senior-level experience in the education sector, the ability to use qualitative and quantitative data to inform decisions, an understanding of quality improvement, governance, risk management and Board assurance processes, and effective communication, influencing, team working and partnership skills. The role is intended for a values-driven individual who may not yet have Board experience and wishes to develop towards a future Non-Executive Director appointment. Initial appointment of three years, with a time commitment of 1 to 2 days per month. Salary is £6,000 per year.
