Join the San Francisco office as a mid-level litigation associate working on sophisticated commercial litigation, regulatory enforcement matters, and public law challenges for a diverse nationwide client base. Responsibilities include managing cases and litigation components, drafting pleadings, dispositive motions, and substantive briefs, conducting and overseeing discovery and motion practice, participating in depositions, hearings, mediations, and client strategy sessions, developing legal analysis, communicating with clients, opposing counsel, and regulators, and taking ownership of key workstreams. The role offers greater responsibility, direct client engagement, meaningful participation in complex disputes, close collaboration and mentorship from experienced partners, lean staffing, and hybrid flexibility. Qualifications include three to four years of state and/or federal litigation experience, experience drafting dispositive motions and managing discovery, strong research, writing, and analytical skills, professional judgment, organizational ability, interest in commercial litigation and regulatory or public law matters, and active California Bar membership or the ability to obtain admission promptly. Training at a leading law firm, litigation boutique, or government practice is preferred, while judicial clerkship or government experience is a plus.
