NELFT NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Executive Director of AHPs, Psychological Professions and Social Work to join the Board and share collective responsibility for strategic planning, corporate policy-making, strategic objectives and Trust performance. The role provides strategic and professional leadership for allied health professionals, psychological professions, peer support workers and social workers, including supervision and performance management of professional leads, development of professional practice, workforce plans and new ways of working, and leadership for clinical governance and quality improvement. The post holder will contribute to corporate decision-making, partnership working, equality, diversity and inclusion, and service co-design and patient involvement. The role requires a relevant Master's degree or substantial relevant experience, a relevant first degree or substantial work experience, and a professional qualification as an allied health professional, psychological therapies professional or social worker. Applicants should have Board or senior healthcare delivery experience, leadership experience across professional and multi-professional groups, experience developing new roles and ways of working, knowledge of NHS regulation and legislation, financial understanding, strong communication, analytical, negotiating and influencing skills, and the ability to work with strategic and political awareness. The role is at VSM band, reports to the Chief Executive, is notionally based at Trust Head Office with agile working across the organisation, and includes participation in the EMT on-call rota and emergency plans as required.
