Join UnLocal's community-centered nonprofit team and work alongside experienced legal professionals on real cases involving humanitarian immigration law. Responsibilities include conducting legal research, drafting memoranda, assisting with immigration applications, gathering evidence and documentation, supporting client intake and interviews, participating in team meetings and case reviews, and contributing to community outreach and educational programs. Applicants should be law students with an interest in immigration law and social justice, strong research, writing, and interpersonal skills, and comfort working with vulnerable communities. Previous immigration or nonprofit legal experience is preferred but not required. Fluency in Spanish and/or French is strongly preferred. Term-time internships require a minimum of 10 hours per week, and full-time summer positions are available. Legal internships are generally unpaid, with support available for school-based or private funding applications.
