SpaceLocker is looking for an intern to join its embedded software team in Toulouse for 5 to 6 months, as soon as possible. The role involves developing plug-and-play interfaces for space hardware, managing hardware securely, interfacing field buses, developing and testing custom circuits, and improving embedded systems through automated testing. You will develop and test bare metal embedded software for high-reliability applications, handle packets and telecommunication protocols, access physical devices, and take part in the design and validation of systems intended for space. Applicants must be citizens of a European Union or NATO country, excluding the USA, and must be enrolled in or soon to graduate from a higher education programme. The profile sought includes STEM training with software development or embedded systems coursework, hands-on embedded systems experience, some knowledge of C, and an interest in how code interacts with physical equipment. Experience with FPGA programming, Linux, or Python may be useful. Autonomy, responsibility, practical problem solving, clean coding, and an interest in the space sector are valued. The internship offers the opportunity to work with experienced space industry engineers in a flexible team developing technologies for the next generation of space infrastructure. Compensation is 1200 EUR per month before tax.
