Sands is seeking a Marketing & Communications Officer to plan and deliver marketing and communications activities for supporters, volunteers, journalists, ambassadors and staff. The role involves writing, editing, coordinating and publishing content across websites, social media, email, print and online marketing materials; developing and delivering appeals and targeted campaigns; supporting digital engagement, media and PR, brand communications and content creation; and working with teams across the organisation. The post will specialise in marketing and communications support for the Research, Education and Policy department, including work to save babies' lives, training and education, campaigning and advocacy. Applicants should have experience in a similar role, strong communication, editorial, organisational and interpersonal skills, basic design skills such as Canva, experience of online marketing and e-newsletter distribution, confidence using digital analytics tools, knowledge of press office work and media relations, and sound experience of social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. The role requires occasional evening and weekend work and occasional travel throughout the UK. Paid marketing, digital campaigning, audio-visual, web content management and agency experience are desirable. The position is home-based and offers a 12 month fixed-term contract, 35 hours per week, a salary of £31,750 per annum plus a £312 per annum home working allowance, flexible hours and Sands staff benefits.
