Responsible to the Home Manager and reporting to the Home Manager or Nurse-in-Charge. The role involves collecting dirty linen, sorting laundry into appropriate wash cycles, drying laundry according to manufacturers' instructions, ironing clothing where appropriate, sorting and distributing residents' clothing, and carrying out general household duties that promote residents' welfare. The role also requires compliance with COSHH, health and safety regulations, operational policies and procedures, fire procedures, and quality initiatives, along with reporting accidents and attending requested training.
