Sands is recruiting a Community Engagement and Events Officer to support the promotion, organisation and delivery of virtual and bespoke fundraising activities, including Starlight Walk and Ribbon Run. The role manages online fundraising communities, supports event promotion, recruitment and logistics, develops supporter relationships and improves stewardship processes. Responsibilities include creating stewardship content and journeys, responding to supporter queries, recruiting and managing event volunteers, coordinating suppliers and travel, maintaining the CRM and website events section, managing supporter thanking processes, conducting market research and building relationships with community groups and organisations. The role requires relevant experience in event fundraising, challenge event organisation and income generation, an understanding of social media and digital advertising, excellent written and verbal communication, copywriting and organisational skills, and the ability to work sensitively with people who may be experiencing traumatic circumstances. The position is homebased with occasional office visits and regular evening and weekend work. It is permanent, 35 hours per week, with flexible working considered. Salary is £28,875 per annum plus a £312 per annum Home Worker Allowance.
