St. Nicks Alliance is seeking a full-time superintendent for its JOE Central Brooklyn properties in East New York, Brooklyn. The role performs building maintenance and upkeep, conducts inspections, cleaning, preventive maintenance, snow removal, vacancy preparation and corrective maintenance, and provides emergency coverage 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Responsibilities include maintaining heating and hot water, roofing, plumbing, electrical, compactor, fire control, sprinkler and elevator systems; supervising maintenance contracts; maintaining building information logbooks; supporting REAC inspections; ensuring compliance with housing, funding and sanitation regulations; and directing, leading and training the maintenance team. Candidates should have at least three years of janitorial, cleaning and building maintenance experience, knowledge of mechanical and building systems, basic plumbing and electrical repair skills, a valid driver's license and vehicle, active S-12, S-13 and S-95 certificates of fitness, personal tools and steel-toe boots. The position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb stairs and use a 6-foot ladder.
