St. Nicks Alliance is seeking multiple full-time assistant teachers for its Small World Early Childhood Center in Brooklyn. Responsibilities include assisting with developmentally appropriate curriculum planning and implementation, supervising and engaging children, supporting their safety and health, communicating with families, maintaining classroom records, observing and documenting student development, participating in program events, meetings, trainings and professional development, and maintaining an organized learning environment. Applicants should have a high school diploma and Teaching Assistant Certificate, six child development child-care course credits, or 2+ years of classroom work experience. An associate or bachelor's degree in Early Child Care Education is preferred. Knowledge of child development is required, and bilingual ability is preferred.
