Responsible to the Site Manager or Senior Management Team, the Site Services Officer helps provide a safe, clean and secure environment for site users and authorised visitors. Duties include operating and inspecting building services, supporting energy conservation and health and safety programmes, monitoring grounds maintenance and cleaning contractors, moving furniture, preparing rooms for events, opening and closing buildings, managing security and alarm systems, responding to emergencies, carrying out minor repairs and maintenance, keeping external areas tidy, preparing areas for lettings and ensuring they are cleaned afterwards. The role requires GCSE standard education or equivalent, a friendly and helpful nature, the ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team, flexibility, manual handling ability, awareness of equal opportunities legislation and willingness to attend training. Previous health and safety training, experience working with a range of clients, some IT skills and a full clean driving licence are desirable. An enhanced DBS disclosure is required.
