Teach students one-to-one in a range of singing styles, up to Grade 8 standard and beyond, including GCSE and A-level performances. The role includes providing high-quality individual tuition, planning lessons with challenging and relevant objectives, selecting repertoire and resources, monitoring and assessing pupil progress, managing teaching time effectively, maintaining accurate attendance records, and organising a timetable in line with the school rota. Previous singing tuition experience is required, and piano skills are highly desirable. Join a friendly and supportive Music Department with 11 peripatetic teachers, teaching around 200 pupils aged 11 to 18. Initially 5 to 6 hours of teaching are offered per week, with the opportunity to expand depending on student demand. The role is term time only, with 30 lessons per year across three blocks of 10 lessons. An enhanced DBS disclosure is required.
