The Grey Coat Hospital is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Singing Teacher to join its music department and team of 12 peripatetic teachers. The role involves teaching students one-to-one in a range of styles, providing high-quality individual singing tuition, planning lessons, selecting repertoire and resources, monitoring and assessing pupil progress, maintaining attendance records, and organising a timetable in line with the school's rota system. Applicants must have previous singing tuition experience and be able to teach up to Grade 8 standard and beyond, as well as GCSE and A Level performance. Piano skills are highly desirable. The role initially involves teaching for one to one and a half days per week, with the opportunity to expand depending on student demand. The successful candidate must provide a reliable, consistent service and 30 lessons per year across three blocks. The pay rate is £36 per hour. An enhanced DBS disclosure is required.
