Provide risk management consultation and support to physician members and insureds. Duties include advising physicians and staff on risk reduction, providing Hotline coverage, conducting practice risk assessments, analyzing claims data, developing risk management and patient safety resources, writing articles, presenting educational programs, participating in peer review and organizational meetings, and staffing the CAPCares Unit. Requirements include a bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field, with a master's degree preferred, a preferred RN, RN/JD, or clinical license, five years of healthcare risk management or equivalent healthcare experience, and knowledge of patient safety, quality improvement, root cause analysis, adverse event management, grievances, protected health information, and healthcare regulations. The role requires strong communication, customer service, organizational, computer, independent working, and collaboration skills, a valid California driver's license, and travel within California. Salary is $120,000 to $148,000 per year, depending on experience.
