Sydney Hospital and Sydney Eye Hospital is offering a 12-month Transition to Professional Practice Perioperative Stream for first year transitioning Registered Nurses. The program includes two rotations in a choice of Anaesthetics, Scrub/Scout, Post Anaesthetic Care Unit or Day Procedure Unit. It provides a five day corporate and tailored nursing orientation program, local unit orientation, ongoing support from preceptors and clinical resource staff, education sessions, access to in-service programs, study leave, reflective practice supervision, NSW Health uniforms, annual leave, individualised career pathway planning and a Certificate of Achievement on completion. Nursing employment may be available after completion, subject to position availability. One intake is scheduled for February 2026. Full-time and part-time positions are available, subject to availability.
