Work directly with the Chief Engineer to start, monitor, and maintain machinery, assist with engineering duties, handle mooring lines, participate in safety and security drills, stand engine watches, support fueling and spill prevention procedures, fill and pump fluids, switch between shore power and generators, and assist other departments as requested. Requirements include a TSA TWIC, First Aid and CPR certification, a USCG MMD with QMED rating, a high school diploma or equivalent, and two years of qualified engine room experience. A USCG Assistant Engineer's License and additional ratings are desired or recommended.
