Maintain and engineer vessels and facilities, manage daily job assignments, schedule preventive maintenance, oversee repairs and upgrades, manage engineering and maintenance teams, plan repair and capital projects, maintain records, control department costs, ensure compliance with Coast Guard and other regulations, and support fleet facilities and drydock planning. Requirements include a USCG Licensed Chief Engineer credential for vessels of at least 4,000 hp or 1,600 gross tons, or a limited Chief Engineer license, Lifeboat, advanced firefighting, and STCW ratings, a valid TWIC, First Aid and CPR certification, at least 10 years of marine experience including five years as a licensed Chief Engineer or First Assistant Chief Engineer and five years managing crew, and the ability to submit to preemployment and ongoing random drug and alcohol testing.
