Clark Wilson LLP is seeking a Paralegal to join its growing Family Law practice group. This is a full-time, permanent position. Responsibilities include initial file review and assessment, maintaining diary and BF systems, managing files from start to finish with minimal supervision, drafting court pleadings and other legal documents, managing document discovery, reviewing and organizing documents, preparing lists of documents and Form 8 financial statements, communicating with clients and opposing counsel, drafting settlement documentation, liaising with legal assistants, paralegals and lawyers, and performing general administrative duties. Applicants must be graduates of a recognized paralegal program with at least 5 years of Family Law Paralegal experience. Strong technical skills, knowledge of applicable family law legislation, court procedures and filing deadlines, excellent communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, the ability to prioritize competing tasks, client-centred service, sound judgment, discretion and confidentiality are required.
