Responsibilities include initial file review and assessment, drafting pleadings and motion materials, managing document discovery, reviewing and organizing documents, preparing materials for expert reports, communicating with clients, experts and opposing counsel, conducting legal research, preparing for examinations for discovery, mediation and trial, drafting bills of costs and settlement documentation, and related administrative duties. Applicants should be graduates of a recognized Paralegal program with at least 2 years of recent litigation paralegal experience. Insurance defence experience is an asset. The role requires knowledge of BC civil litigation practices and BC Supreme Court Civil Rules, strong analytical, writing, organizational and technical skills, attention to detail, sound judgment, confidentiality, and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
