Paid, remote fixed-term panel appointment for 36 months, with an expected commitment of around 20 days per year. The role will provide robust assessment of modelling and analysis conducted by NESO, including quantitative decision-making under uncertainty, scenario and sensitivity analysis, statistics, risk analysis, and explaining complex trade-offs to non-technical audiences. Panel members review and scrutinise the Electricity Capacity Report, contribute to the annual PTE report, attend regular virtual meetings, and provide feedback to DESNZ, NESO and Ofgem. Applicants must have experience of applying quantitative techniques to model electricity markets, including the GB electricity markets.
