Internal selection process for nomination to the British Heart Foundation Research Professorship scheme. Eligible candidates must have an internationally competitive track record in a field relevant to the BHF mission and be principal investigator of at least one competitively awarded programme grant or equivalent, with at least three years of funding remaining. Internal applications must include a maximum two-page document covering research leadership, the standing and future potential of the research programmes, and the added value and potential impact for the BHF, a maximum two-page CV covering relevant current programme grants or equivalent, and confirmation from the Head of Department of support for the appointment. Internal applications close at 12 noon on 20 August 2026. Final nominations must be submitted by 15 September 2026, and an approved candidate will be invited to submit a full application by 23 June 2027.
