Paid, remote fixed-term panel appointment for 36 months, with an expected commitment of around 20 days per year. The role will provide insight into GB and international electricity markets and scrutinise NESO's future-facing analysis, including supply expectations and sector-specific risks and opportunities. Essential expertise includes capacity adequacy mechanisms or adequacy assessment modelling, current market arrangements, electricity markets policy programmes and their implications for adequacy and investment signals, and interactions between the Capacity Market, wholesale markets and other support schemes. Panel members review and scrutinise the Electricity Capacity Report, contribute to the annual PTE report, attend regular virtual meetings, and provide feedback to DESNZ, NESO and Ofgem.
