The Occupational Therapist supports students’ participation in education by addressing physical, cognitive, and sensory-motor challenges affecting learning, independence, and social interaction. Duties include assessing student needs, developing individual treatment plans, providing therapy services, using evidence-based interventions, adapting classroom environments and materials, collaborating with educators and families, supporting IEPs, maintaining confidential records, and staying current with occupational therapy practices. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy, current licensing and relevant certification, strong communication skills, independent caseload management, flexibility, and experience with children are required or preferred as stated.
