Perform routine maintenance and janitorial work on vessels and facilities, diagnose and repair diesel engines, vessel systems, pumps, electronics, engineering systems, dock systems, and electrical systems, fabricate parts, document assignments and repairs, mentor crewmembers, and maintain tools and workspaces. Requirements include one year of industry experience or successful completion of an Apprentice Mechanic Program, functional knowledge of electricity and safe industry practices, HAZWOPER, forklift, CPR, and First Aid certifications.
