Maintain and engineer vessels and facilities, manage daily job assignments, schedule preventive maintenance, supervise Engineering and Maintenance teams, perform repairs and upgrades, troubleshoot vessel systems, manage capital and repair projects, maintain records, ensure Coast Guard and other regulatory compliance, control department costs, and support fleet facilities and drydock planning. Requirements include a US Coast Guard Licensed Chief Engineer credential for vessels of at least 4,000 horsepower or 1,600 gross tons, or a Limited Chief Engineer license, Lifeboat, advanced firefighting and STCW ratings, TWIC, First Aid and CPR certification, at least 10 years of marine experience including five years as a licensed Chief Engineer or First Assistant Chief Engineer and five years managing crew, and the ability to pass preemployment and ongoing random drug and alcohol testing.
