Support Indigenous people and families through life altering moments by providing guidance, empathy and practical solutions. Duties include advocacy, client empowerment, connecting clients with counselling, housing, Elders and other supports, and helping families stay rooted in their cultural traditions. Strong listening and communication skills, respect for Indigenous cultures and experiences, and a commitment to social justice are required. Experience in social services, legal aid or community support, particularly with Indigenous communities, is an asset.
