Heitman's Chicago office is seeking an Assistant Vice President of Capital Markets to support debt financing activity for clients of the North America Private Equity and Private Debt groups. Responsibilities include managing financing and refinancing activity, evaluating financing strategies, sourcing debt capital, preparing loan request packages, coordinating lender questions, evaluating loan quotes, assisting with closings, reviewing loan documents and managing lender relationships. Candidates should have a BA in business or a related field, experience in real estate finance or equity investment analysis, and preferably 5 to 7 years of experience with a lender or debt broker. Excellent written and verbal communication, loan documentation negotiation, strong analytical skills, and proficiency with Argus, Excel, word processing, spreadsheet, PDF and PowerPoint applications are preferred. The role requires a self-motivated, detail-oriented self-starter who can multitask and work with limited supervision. The position is based in the Chicago office, with hybrid working arrangements and in-office days varying by team. The role offers a stated annual base salary range of $120,000 to $140,000, bonus eligibility and benefits.
