Details.
A clinic-based procedure involving local anaesthesia, removal of the lesion or lump, bleeding control and wound closure using an appropriate technique. Stitches may be dissolvable or require later removal, and some wounds may heal naturally or be closed with paper strips. Aftercare information and, where necessary, surgical dressings or plasters are provided. Keep the wound dry for at least 3 days, avoid excessive movement, and avoid swimming for at least 10 days or until fully healed. Do not shave or apply lotions or creams to the area on the day of the procedure.
