Permanent, full-time teaching post at The Satellite School's Secondary Site, responsible to the Headteacher and for pupils. The role involves teaching KS3 and KS4, including two subject specialisms, Science and another subject, Functional Skills qualifications and/or BTECs, delivering an appropriate and differentiated curriculum, planning and assessing learning, monitoring progress, managing behaviour, supporting pupil wellbeing, coordinating support staff, liaising with parents, carers and other professionals, and contributing to school development. The post requires a teaching degree or certificate of education and Qualified Teacher Status. Essential experience includes successfully delivering a differentiated curriculum to pupils with a wide range of needs and teaching Maths, Science and other subjects. Candidates should have strong teaching, communication, IT, organisational and collaborative skills, resilience, and a commitment to safeguarding, equality, professional development and pupil progress. Salary is on the Teacher Pay Scale plus SEN allowance. Appointment is subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure.
