FASPS sponsors teachers coming to work in its program through the J-1 visa program. A signed employment contract with FASPS is required before visa processing begins. FASPS covers reasonable J-1 and J-2 visa costs for the employee and family, relocation expenses up to $2,500 when relocating from outside North America or up to $2,000 within North America, basic health insurance for the employee, and costs related to employment qualifications such as background checks and vaccination requirements. FASPS offers participation in one of two retirement plans and contributes up to 5% of contracted wages as of 2024-2025. No other Washington State licensure, certification, or licensure exam is required at this time.
