Permanent role working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term time only, in the Fen Rivers Advocacy Team in Kings Lynn, Norfolk. The role involves managing, supporting and developing a group of marginalised young people and their families through individual sessions, group work, family visits and other interventions. The postholder will oversee a holistic, person-centred approach, develop individual education and learning plans, provide targeted support and mentoring, assess needs and risks, track educational progress, maintain accurate records, make referrals and work with schools, social services, parents and other agencies. The role requires experience supporting young people with complex needs and challenging behaviour, experience in a learning environment, behaviour management and risk assessment skills, the ability to manage a significant caseload, strong communication and report writing skills, and knowledge of safeguarding, equality, child development and multi-agency working. The postholder must be willing to work flexibly across settings, including schools, colleges, courts, police stations and young offender institutions, with occasional evening and residential trip work.
