Details.
Minimally invasive treatment for venous incompetence and varicose veins. A catheter is inserted into the vein under ultrasound guidance, then glue is injected as the catheter is retrieved to seal the affected vein. A compression dressing is applied for one night, followed by a compression garment for seven days or as instructed. Results are evaluated with ultrasound a few weeks after treatment. Further treatment, such as ultrasound-guided sclerotherapy or microphlebectomy, may be recommended for remaining branches.
